Program Mission

The mission of the Kentucky Master Naturalist Volunteer Program is to develop a corps of well-informed citizen volunteers to advance education, research, and outreach efforts dedicated to the conservation and management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Program Description (include how it meets membership criteria)

This program is the first Master Naturalist program in Kentucky. The program has a natural resource focus, is community based, requires more than 40 hours of service-oriented education and training, and is hosted by a non-profit institution (University of Kentucky).
